Liposuction is a procedure where fat is removed from the body by loosening & sucking it out with the help of a suction apparatus. Fat collections around the hips, thighs, buttocks, abdomen, arms, upper chest, etc. can be reduced by this procedure.
Liposuction surgery is neither a substitute nor a cure for obesity. It is a procedure more useful for body contouring by removal of fat from particular areas. But, of course there is an overall reduction in body weight.
People with mild to moderate obesity, with healthy elastic skin or patients with localized collections of fat in certain areas, get the best results after liposuction surgery. The healthy elastic skin shrinks after the removal of fat from those areas and drapes well giving good long-term results.
Breast augmentation is the enlargement of the breasts through the insertion of saline or silicone implants.
Implants are inserted behind the breast tissue or the chest muscle.
Candidates include people who want larger breasts, want to add symmetry to their body shape and proportions, or who have lost breast volume due to weight loss or pregnancy.
Like all surgeries, breast augmentation carries risks. These include scarring, infection, implant rupture, wrinkling of the skin around the implant site, breast pain, and more.
The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia.
Breast implants aren’t guaranteed to last forever, so choosing this procedure puts you at risk for follow-up surgical procedures to correct issues with your implants.
A Face-Lift is a cosmetic surgical procedure to create a younger appearance in your face. The procedure can reduce the sagging or folds of skin on the cheeks and jawline and other changes in the shape of your face that occur with age.
During a Face-Lift, a flap of skin on each side of the face is pulled back, and tissues below the skin are surgically altered to return the contour of the face to a more youthful shape. Before the flap is sutured closed, excess skin is removed.
A Neck Lift is often done as part of a Face-Lift to reduce fat deposits and shagging skin on the neck.
A Face-Lift wont decrease fine creases or wrinkles in your skin or damage from sun exposure. Other Cosmetic procedures can address the appearance or quality of the skin itself.
FUE HAIR TRANSPLANT
FUE also known as “Follicular Unit Extraction” is the movement of genetic groups of hair known as follicular units (FU); “bunches” of hair usually 1 to 4 hairs. This method is a natural hair transplant method and the most elegant and successful method currently available to resolving hair loss. Microscopic hair follicles are taken from the donor area where there is plenty of healthy and strong hair and transplanted to the recipient area where there is a lack.
A surgical punch surrounds the FU and with a great deal of skill and precise measurement of skin and hair angles the FU is removed. Extraction is done between 1500 and 2000 being extracted and placed in one day. More important to the amount is the yield or growth rate, so the amount will vary from person to person.
In FUE hair transplantation donor hair can be extracted from nearly any part of the body. Usually the sides and back of the head, also the chest and back are used.
LASER TATTOO REMOVAL
Lasers remove tattoos by breaking up the pigment colors with a high-intensity light beam. Black tattoo pigment absorbs all laser wavelengths, making it the easiest color to treat. Other colors can only be treated by selected lasers based upon the pigment color.
You should first schedule a consultation with Dr Manish Patel who can evaluate your tattoo and advise you on the process. The number of treatments you will need will depend on the age, size, and color(s) of your tattoo. The color of your skin, as well as how deep the tattoo pigment goes, will also affect the removal technique
Rhinoplasty (RIE-no-plas-tee) is surgery that changes the shape of the nose. The motivation for rhinoplasty may be to change the appearance of the nose, improve breathing or both.
The upper portion of the structure of the nose is bone, and the lower portion is cartilage. Rhinoplasty can change bone, cartilage, skin or all three. Talk with your surgeon about whether rhinoplasty is appropriate for you and what it can achieve.
When planning rhinoplasty, your surgeon will consider your other facial features, the skin on your nose and what you would like to change. If you're a candidate for surgery, your surgeon will develop a customized plan for you.
Breast Reduction is a procedure to reduce the size and bulk of the breasts.
Large breasts apart from causing social problems, can cause medical problems like back pain, skeletal deformities and breathing problems. They can also cause personal hygiene problems like a rash or recurrent fungal infections. Such women are candidates for Breast Reduction Surgery.
Procedure for breast reduction is similar to mastopexy, but also involves removal of fat and glandular tissue making the breasts smaller, lighter and firmer.
There are 3 age groups of women seeking breast reduction:
Young women aged 18 to 26 years who come because of social problems
Women aged 35-45 years who have finished having their families and want to regain normal body contours
Older women who gain weight after menopause.
SKIN WHITENING TREATMENT
While performing the laser treatment, the doctors use a concentrated beam of light to minimise the melanin buildup in the target area. The immune system of the skin eventually removes the remnants of the pigment.
As a result, the skin appears healthier and brighter than before. The regenerated skin is flawless. Also known as laser peel or lasabrasion, the laser treatment helps in effectively reducing concerns like skin pigmentation, dark spots, sun tanning and dull skin.
Laser treatment is safe for brightening the skin tone of both the face and specific body areas.
An abdominoplasty is a procedure that flattens your abdomen by removing extra fat and skin and tightening muscles in your abdominal wall. This surgical procedure is also known as a tummy tuck.
Tummy tucks can be thought of as "mini" or more involved procedures depending on the amount of skin and fat.
It's important to educate yourself, thoroughly analyze your own situation, and take your time arriving at a final decision. The procedure shouldn't be used as an alternative to weight loss.
Gynecomastia (also spelled Gynaecomastia), is the abnormal non-cancerous enlargement of one or both breasts in men due to the growth of breast tissue as a result of a hormone imbalance between estrogen and androgen. Gynecomastia can cause significant psychological distress or unease.
Gynecomastia can be normal in newborn babies due to exposure to estrogen from the mother, in adolescents going through puberty, and in obesity and older men. Most do not require diagnostic tests.
Gynecomastia may be caused by abnormal hormone changes, any condition that leads to an increase in the ratio of estrogens/androgens such as liver disease, kidney failure, thyroid disease and some non-breast tumours. Alcohol and some drugs can also cause breast enlargement.
Blepharoplasty (BLEF-uh-roe-plas-tee) is a type of surgery that repairs droopy eyelids and may involve removing excess skin, muscle and fat. As you age, your eyelids stretch, and the muscles supporting them weaken. As a result, excess fat may gather above and below your eyelids, causing sagging eyebrows, droopy upper lids and bags under your eyes.
Besides making you look older, severely sagging skin around your eyes can reduce your side vision (peripheral vision), especially the upper and outer parts of your field of vision.
Blepharoplasty can reduce or eliminate these vision problems and make your eyes appear younger and more alert
LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal is more than just ''zapping'' unwanted hair. It is a medical procedure that requires training to perform and carries potential risks. Before getting laser hair removal, you should thoroughly check the credentials of the doctor or technician performing the procedure.
If you are planning on undergoing laser hair removal, you should limit plucking, waxing, and electrolysis for six weeks before treatment. That's because the laser targets the hairs' roots, which are temporarily removed by waxing or plucking.
You should also avoid sun exposure for six weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure makes laser hair removal less effective and makes complications after treatment more likely.
